Goughs announce new General Manager - Equipment Group
After an extensive Australasian recruitment process, Goughs has appointed Geoff McCabe as General Manager – Goughs
Equipment Group.
The Equipment Group comprises several divisions; Caterpillar Business Unit, Goughs Power Systems, Goughs Engineering and
The Cat Rental Store. It encompasses more than 400 staff over 18 locations giving unparalleled nationwide coverage.
Mr McCabe has had an extensive and successful career in senior leadership positions within the Capital Goods industry
over the past 23 years, both here and in Australia.
He was formerly Director of Sales for AGCO Australia Pty Limited, based in Melbourne covering the New Zealand and
Australian markets. AGCO is a significant global manufacturer of farm machinery marketing world leading brands such as
Massey Ferguson, Challenger, Fendt and Valtra. Prior to this role Mr McCabe held General Management roles with Landpower
Australia in Melbourne, and The Power Farming Group in Morrinsville, New Zealand.
Born and raised in Christchurch, Mr McCabe and has returned home to Canterbury and is looking forward to being involved
with both Goughs and the CAT brand. “I am committed to providing industry leading after sales service and machinery
