NZ Consumers Can Now Buy
Dell Products at Dick Smith
AUCKLAND, New Zealand, Aug. 13, 2009 – Dell today announced plans to sell a range of its award-winning products in all Dick Smith stores across New Zealand.
The announcement marks the launch of Dell’s retail programme in New Zealand and an expansion of both its relationship with Dick Smith and its retail programme across ANZ. In Australia, Dick Smith sells Dell products across Australia and Dell products are sold by Officeworks and The Good Guys.
From today, Dick Smith shoppers in New Zealand can choose from a range of Inspiron laptops and desktops and monitors.
Evan Williams, Dell’s general manager for Consumer Sales and Marketing in ANZ said, “Today’s announcement takes Dell’s retail strategy across the Tasman and for the first time gives New Zealand consumers the option to buy Dell products from a well-known retailer or online. Whilst we continue to see growth in our online business in New Zealand, we recognise some people want to touch and feel our products, first, and now they can.”
Glenn O’Neill, head of Buying and Merchandising at Dick Smith, said, “We are committed to providing customers in New Zealand the latest technology and leading brands in all categories. Dell’s products complement our PC and laptop range, enabling us to provide our customers with a wide range of solutions to meet their technology needs.”
