Statement on Akarana Union's media release: NZ Bus
Since June, NZ Bus has been participating in negotiations to enter into a Collective Employment Agreement (CEA) with the combined unions, which represent the majority of drivers and cleaners in its North Star, Metrolink, LINK, GO WEST and Waka Pacific businesses.
The combined unions took the company offer to their respective meetings in a series of meetings over 4-6 August.
“The unions have advised us they have rejected our offer of 9.5% over three years,” says Zane Fulljames, General Manager, Operations. “We look forward to returning to the negotiating table later in the month.”
