iSOFT launches Lorenzo in New Zealand
Auckland – Thursday, 6 August 2009 – iSOFT Group Limited (ASX: ISF) – Australia's largest listed health information technology company will introduce its Lorenzo next-generation e-health solution to the New Zealand market at its first Healthcare Innovation Symposium in Auckland on 6 - 7 August.
iSOFT, one of the world’s largest suppliers of software that electronically connects healthcare systems, is developing Lorenzo as a key component of the National Health Service’s National Programme for IT in the U.K. – the world’s largest civilian IT project. Built using a service-oriented architecture (SOA), Lorenzo has the flexibility, scalability and interoperability to work alongside existing IT systems and connect patient records on a national scale.
Lorenzo enables healthcare providers to manage their processes while at the same time providing secure access to patient information to those who need it, anywhere and at any time. The solution is installed at several early adopter sites in Europe, including South Birmingham Primary Care Trust, the University Hospital of Morecambe Bay in Lancashire, and University Hospital Aachen. Formerly IBA Health Group, iSOFT is a market leader in supplying application systems for hospitals and healthcare organisations, in both public and private sectors in New Zealand. iSOFT New Zealand works with all seven New Zealand District Health Boards and a majority of New Zealand’s hospitals.
