NZ Autocar magazine appoints new editor
Fairfax magazines is proud to announce Kyle
Cassidy as the new editor of NZ Autocar magazine.
Kyle takes over the position from Paul Owen who has decided to downshift after 11 years as editor. Paul will continue to write features for the magazine and also contribute to other Fairfax publications both in print and online.
Specialist Magazines general manager Tim Porter says, “Kyle has been the ideal apprentice working with Paul over the past six years and I am confident he will be successful at the wheel of New Zealand’s number one new car magazine.”
Kyle says he is looking forward to the challenge of taking over as editor of one of the country’s most popular motoring magazines. “It’s a great opportunity to be in the driver’s seat of NZ Autocar. I’m looking forward to the challenge of developing the magazine while still delivering the best New Zealand content to our readers.”
After graduating from AUT with a journalism degree six years ago Kyle joined NZ Autocar as editorial assistant before becoming the magazine’s road test editor. He is a regular contributor to TV One’s Breakfast show with a fortnightly car review with Paul Henry. Kyle will take over from the October issue of the magazine.
