New Owner and Big Plans for Harveys Te Atatu
Award winning realtor Paul Vujnovich has never been one to shy away from a challenge and when the opportunity arose to
take over the Harveys Te Atatu office he jumped at it.
Paul has been with Harveys Te Atatu since he moved into real estate about five years ago and in that time he has racked
up several awards including Rookie of the Year in 2006 and Salesperson of the Year twice, in 2007 and again this year at
the annual Harveys Awards.
So when long-time owner Sandy Lowe decided to retire, Paul felt ready to step up. “I recently mentored a salesperson
from another Harveys office who grew immensely and achieved phenomenal results. I talked it over with my wife and we
thought - if that’s what we can achieve with one person, imagine what can we do with a team of 10-12,” he says. “So when
the opportunity came up, we just thought we should go for it.”
Paul’s enthusiasm and drive seems to be catching on. Since he took-over the office in April he has welcomed six new
salespeople from other real estate offices.
“They are all established agents who have come on board and they are great,” he says. The Te Atatu team now includes 13
sales people and one property manager. “I’m currently very focused and committed to helping my sales team grow their
business on a long-term basis, which is critically important, particularly in the current market. I’m pleased to say
they are doing really well.
“Our experience is that the Te Atatu property market is flourishing. The last three months have been phenomenal. Last
month for example, in June, the office recorded 21 sales, which is fantastic. It really is satisfying seeing the team
enjoy success in such a short space of time. It’s starting to feel a bit like 2007 again,” he says.
Paul has his sights set high for the office with plans to boost the number of sales people to 18-20, increase property
management listings to 1000 houses and raise the number of property managers to about eight. He says they have already
put plans to the council to add another floor to the building. “We’re going to be busting out of the seams," he says.
In the short term he plans to solidify the position of Harveys in Te Atatu then grow to become the preferred brand and
office in the Waitakere region.
