NZ tradesmen wanted in Paris
Pauline Hampshire has lived in France for 20 years, but when she wanted to renovate her 3 storey house in Chevreuse, in
South West Paris, she decided she wanted a Kiwi tradesman. “I grew up in Tauranga, and my husband is from there, so we
know that Kiwis have such a great work ethic, which is very different to France. Tradespeople here can do good work when
pushed, but can be very unreliable and hard to manage”.
“When I found Builderscrack.co.nz on the internet last night, I thought this will be a great way of finding a crew of
tradespeople with the different skills we need. We know that a lot of Kiwis love to travel, and thought this would give
some Kiwi tradespeople keen for an overseas experience a great opportunity. We will give them accommodation, pay them,
and if they do a great job and finish on time, we will throw in a two week tour of France. We heard there were
tradespeople looking for work in NZ, so hope that this will be a win win” said Pauline. “It seems to be generating quite
a bit of interest, within a couple of hours of listing my job on Builderscrack I had already spoken to two Tauranga
builders, and six others were looking to make contact”.
