NZPT Queenstown – Skycity Alpine Adventure Begins Today

Day 1, Flight 1 of the New Zealand Poker Tour Queenstown – SKYCITY Alpine Adventure began at 12:30pm today in Queenstown’s SKYCITY Casino. In today’s flight 27 players will be competing for a chance to hit the tables in Day 2 of the tournament which is being held on Friday 24 July.

Players from around the world including Australia, Netherlands, Lithuania, the United States and Norway as well as four local players from Queesntown are competing in todays flight. Big name players such as Tony Hachem have hit the tables today, which will give home grown players the chance to play and learn from some of the world’s best players.

SKYCITY Queenstown’s Executive Manager Michelle Baillie is pleased that a tournament of this calibre is being held at SKYCITY’s Queenstown property.

“We are thrilled to be hosting such a wonderful event and with some of the biggest names in poker today playing at our tables. We are looking forward to the rest of the week and the high quality poker that it will bring.”
