Huge interest in All Black public appearance today

Huge interest in All Black public appearance today - Test great for Auckland

The Newmarket Business Association says hundreds of fans have turned up to the Adidas store on Broadway for a signing session with the All Blacks from 4.00 – 5.00pm.

“If anyone thought interest in the All Blacks was diminishing, they should have seen the queue down Broadway. These guys continue to draw big crowds and plenty of media attention. They are a welcome sight this winter," says Cameron Brewer, head of the Newmarket Business Association.

“It’s noticeable that visitors are starting to pile into Auckland ahead of this much anticipated Tri Nations opener. More than ever, a big Bledisloe Cup match like this is great for the local economy. It’s a great boost and a very welcomed fixture on the Auckland events calendar this winter. The timing is good for the hospitality industry and retail sector.”
