SKYCIY Alpine Adventure, Only One Week To Go!

NZPT Queenstown – SKYCIY Alpine Adventure, Only One Week To Go!

SKYCITY Queenstown Casino will play host to more than 70 international players from the four corners of the globe alongside homegrown players as part of a capped field of 200 people for one of the most adventurous poker tournaments to date.

In just over a week’s time from 20-25 July, New Zealand’s adventure capital, Queenstown, will be filled with top poker players from throughout Australasia and the world including international players from Canada, Germany, Israel, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, United Kingdom and the United States of America.

With the field capped at 200 players, competition will be fierce. Players will have to pull out all the stops to take away a slice of the expected $450,000NZD* prize pool.

Players when registering for this event have had the opportunity to take advantage of the extreme sports and activities on offer in Queenstown. Some players are taking advantage of the flight to Milford Sound and taking at least one of their supporters with them. More than twenty players have opted to ski while in Queenstown and three brave players will to bungy jump.

SKYCITY Queenstown’s Executive Manager Michelle Baillie says, “With SKYCITY Queenstown hosting such a world class tournament in one of New Zealand’s best tourist destinations, the added tourist options and accommodation over the week will increase the economic benefit that these players, their friends and family will have on the region.”

Entries to the NZPT Queenstown – SKYCITY Alpine Adventure are still available, see www.skycity.co.nz/poker for more details.
