Symantec Offers Survive and Thrive Business Management Series for Partners in New Zealand
Programs and Tools to Help Channel Partners Succeed and Become Stronger
Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced the Survive and Thrive Business Management Series, designed to help channel partners not only to survive current challenges, but also to succeed and emerge stronger. The series of webcasts and learning modules offer training on addressing critical business challenges and provides practical guidance to maximise cash flow, source and invest capital more efficiently, identify new business opportunities and drive business growth.

We’re offering the Survive and Thrive Business Management Series as part of Symantec’s ongoing commitment and investment in our partners to offer programmes and tools that will help them grow their business for success now and in the future.”
The business management series runs until November 2009 and is delivered at no charge to Symantec partners over 24 weeks. It comprises five webcasts and 12 self-paced learning modules. Partners have the flexibility to participate in the webcast on demand or join the scheduled live session. In addition, partners can participate in discussions with peers or ask questions through the Survive & Thrive Forum.

Programmes in Asia Pacific and Japan
Symantec continues
to offer a range of programmes in Asia Pacific and Japan
that aim to assist channel partners capitalise on the market
opportunity for Symantec’s industry-leading security,
storage and systems management solutions. These include the
Real Deal promotion, VMware Alliance Affiliate Program,
Symantec University for Partners and Symantec Partner
Specialisations.
The Real Deal promotion is a dedicated
incentive programme that rewards channel partners for
driving incremental and new license sales for Symantec core
products. The Real Deal promotion is available to channel
partners in the Symantec Partner programme in Australia, New
Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Philippines
and Indonesia. The promotion ends on 31 October 2009.
VMware Alliance Affiliate Programme is designed to provide partners increased opportunity to capitalise on Symantec’s data protection products that support VMware virtualisation. A rebate promotion for the VMware Alliance Affiliate programme is currently available for Symantec partners at the Platinum, Gold, Silver Corporate Reseller and Global Strategic Partner (GSP) level. Eligible products for the promotion are Symantec Veritas NetBackup, Symantec Backup Exec and Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery. This promotion ends on 30 September 2009.
Symantec University for Partners is a training and enablement programme designed to offer partners a broad portfolio of resources and accreditation. It provides resources for partners to increase their knowledge on Symantec’s broad range of products and solutions which help shorten the sales cycle and more effectively build solutions for customers.
Symantec Partner Specialisations are designed to recognise solutions expertise of Symantec’s partners and to help them differentiate and grow their businesses. Partners could demonstrate their proven ability to plan, design, implement and manage Symantec solutions to both customers and other partners. In addition, a range of benefits and tools are made available for partners in different areas of specialisation.
