Slingshot joins forces with Kinetic Education
Slingshot has formed a partnership with tutoring specialists Kinetic Education in order to offer a comprehensive online tutoring programme.
Kinetic Education was founded in 1985 and has specialised tutoring programmes in place all over the world for school aged children. The NZ programme that Slingshot is offering is run entirely online and provides full resources for the Maths and English curriculums for all students - from schools entrants to school leavers. Kinetic Education’s programme is especially designed to be fun for the student in order to enhance their motivation and usage.
By being provided exclusively through the internet it means that parents don’t have to battle rush hour traffic to get their kids to a tutor, or have the hassle of finding a suitable tutor for their child. Also, with recent global events threatening a pandemic, it’s a step in the right direction for keeping our kids learning if they’re not able to attend school.
Slingshot's General Manager Mark Callander says “this is an exciting diversification in the value added services offered by Slingshot and will complement the launch of our Better Schools Programme. The increasing penetration and performance of broadband services throughout NZ makes learning applications like Kinetic Education possible.”
Callander continues “We chose Kinetic Education because of their proven record in the Australian market and because it is provides cost effective option when compared to other alternatives. Kids can learn at their own pace and get immediate feedback on progress.”
Kinetic Education has modelled their programme around the New Zealand curriculum so kids can get the best out of this programme. Undertaking a new tutoring programme can be a big decision so there is a 30 day free trial period for all customers. After the initial month the service is just $29.95 a month for as many users in the house as you like.
