Hirepool Continues Growth with Two Senior Appointments
28 May 2009 – Hirepool Limited has made two new senior appointments as it continues to strengthen its position as the premier rental equipment solutions provider. Hirepool is part of the New Zealand Rental Group, a leading industrial services and equipment solutions provider.
Kingi Pikaahu has been appointed National Manager of the Hirepool Access division while Colin Wickman returns to his role as National Manager of the Hirepool Energy division after a brief absence. Both men bring a wealth of industry and management experience.
Pikaahu has been with Hirepool for 18 years starting as a Branch Mechanic then moving to the Scaffolding division. He was promoted to Branch Relationship Manager, Key Account Manager then Hirepool Energy Manager before this latest appointment to run the Hirepool Access division.
In his role, Pikaahu will manage and transfer his knowledge onto his Hirepool Access team. “I’m looking forward to growing the division and upholding the excellent staff and customer safety standards that we at Hirepool pride ourselves on,” he says.
Meanwhile Colin Wickman, who has 10 years industry experience, says he was attracted to the challenge of the role and Hirepool’s culture. “I’m looking forward to working alongside the great people at Hirepool and developing the division’s potential,” he says.
New Zealand Rental Group Chief Executive Mark Powell says the appointments demonstrate Hirepool’s commitment to create and maintain sustainable partnerships with customers, suppliers and staff. “I’m confident Kingi and Colin will play a key leadership role in the growth of these Hirepool divisions,” he says.
