Radiolive Appoints New Director Of News And Sport

RadioLIVE News has appointed Melanie Jones as its new Director of News and Sport.

RadioLIVE Director of Programming, Mitch Harris, said it was a new position created to deal with the growth of the RadioLIVE News Service.

“Our news requirements have grown considerably since the advent of RadioLIVE and B Sport Radio and Melanie has a great track record of competing vigorously and breaking stories,” said Mr Harris.

Melanie Jones is a former Executive Director of One News, Director of 60 Minutes and Editor of New Idea. Ms Jones said she was delighted to be leading a dynamic and growing team and expected RadioLIVE News to set the pace.

Kevin Hercock retains his position as News Editor and will continue to lead the team in breakfast.

RadioLIVE News supplies news to a potential audience of over 1.4 million* New Zealanders every week through RadioLIVE, B Sport Radio, The Rock Network, The Edge Network, More FM, The Breeze, the Solid Gold Network, Mai FM, Kiwi FM and George FM.
