AVG Licence Renewal Reminder Service a Big Hit with Resellers
Resellers Improve Customer Retention, Revenue and Satisfaction with AVG Reseller Centre
Auckland 20 May 2009 - AVG (AU/NZ) Pty Ltd, the Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific distributor of the award-winning AVG Anti-Virus and Internet Security products, has launched a renewal notification service to remind its more than 2300 resellers when their customers’ AVG licences are nearing expiry.
AVG (AU/NZ) Channel Manager, James Caldwell said the new reminder service is delivered via weekly e-mails and also available via the updated AVG (AU/NZ) Reseller Centre. The renewal notification service has proved to be enormously successful for its resellers by providing them with timely reminders of additional income opportunities.
“In these times of economic uncertainty, the opportunity to nurture existing clients is a great benefit to resellers,” he said. “Our channel partners receive a weekly e-mail advising them of any customers whose licences will expire within the next 60 days. This encourages the AVG resellers to contact those customers to discuss their security needs, as well as any other technology issues they are experiencing.”
Caldwell continued, “AVG resellers receive full margin on the renewal sale which represents a healthy annuity income stream for many of them.
“Most AVG resellers sell a range of products and services in addition to AVG security software. Contacting customers to renew their AVG protection is a great opportunity for resellers to cross-sell or up-sell products and related services to their customers.
“AVG resellers can renew their customer’s licence for one or two years any time prior to expiry. This ensures the customer receives uninterrupted AVG security protection. The new licence period begins after the anniversary of the original date of purchase.
Caldwell said, “Resellers can log onto the AVG Reseller Centre to obtain full details of the licences coming up for renewal, along with other useful information and services.
“We work closely with our channel partners. Their ongoing feedback, together with the results from our annual survey, are our touchstone when we look for ways improve our services. We are continually enhancing our services and the AVG Reseller Centre to provide our resellers with ever-expanding service levels and functionality,” he said.
Resellers Applaud AVG Licence Renewal System
The new e-mail and online renewal notification system has proved a hit with AVG channel partners, who appreciate the wide range of information and services available.
“I think AVG has done a fantastic job with the new reseller options on its web site,” said Revati Sangoski of Lotus Computers. “The renewal section is invaluable to us with our hundreds of customers and the reminder e-mails really help us to keep using the AVG products.”
Southern IT Consulting’s Dealer Principal, Kaveh Haddadi said the early notification feature allows its staff to offer their clients a more professional and efficient service while minimising customers’ exposure to viruses and other security risks.
“The end result is greater customer retention, improved revenues and more effective customer management, which has a flow-on effect for our other business services,” Haddadi said.
