Top Model mansion Harcourts’ ‘next top auction’

  MEDIA RELEASE

Top Model mansion Harcourts’ ‘next top auction’

15 May 2009: The stunning North Shore mansion chosen as the home for New Zealand’s Next Top Model is attracting strong interest in New Zealand and also from potential buyers overseas in the lead-up to its on-site auction by Harcourts on 24 May.

Selected as the location for New Zealand’s Next Top Model contestants to live and be filmed in for the popular TV3 show, 233 Beach Road, Campbells Bay has undeniable “star quality” according to Harcourts Sales Consultant David Greig, who says the property has attracted considerable interest since it was put up for sale recently.

Launched to the market at an invites-only on-site party for VIPs, celebrities and media last week which also doubled as a promotion for The Lady Killers debut album, the 1540m2 cliff-top retreat featuring a stunning 480m2 mansion with spectacular views and exceptional features both inside and out, has drawn big crowds at Harcourts open homes and “numerous serious buyers” have already been identified.

“The weekend open homes have attracted literally hundreds of people, and the twilight ones we’ve been encouraging people to come to in order to see the home in all it’s evening glory have been very popular as well,” Mr Greig says.

“More than a week out from the auction we’re already working with a number of very interested parties from New Zealand and a number from overseas too – so the auction is definitely shaping up to be exciting.”

As Mr Greig from Harcourts’ franchise Cooper & Co explains, the current owner, high-profile young entrepreneur Seeby Woodhouse, bought the property after it had had a multi-million dollar make-over about three years ago.

“It’s a genuine dream home - a private sanctuary that combines sophisticated luxury with cutting edge technology, unbeatable views and an abundance of special features including an enormous master bedroom with an adjoining Jacuzzi area and dancing pole, to a home cinema, a built-in tropical fish tank in the kitchen, smart wiring throughout and a heated salt water pool.”

Constructed of stone and cedar, the palatial home has expansive living and entertaining areas, four bedrooms including the master “domain”, four ensuites and two additional bathrooms, a study, home cinema room, full wet bar with water feature, a separate laundry and two-car garaging plus off street parking.

The resort-style landscaping incorporates an in-ground pool, hot tub, changing rooms, a sauna room plus outdoor lighting and speakers all on a magnificent 1540m2 of clifftop splendour.

Mr Greig says the property is a “sensational, one of a kind opportunity” ideal for housing a family, entertaining and he is confident it will be sold.

“Mr Woodhouse’s instructions are clear, he has multiple properties and this one is surplus to his requirements.”

The “Mansion for the Models” is being auctioned onsite at 233 Beach Road, Campbells Bay at 2pm on Sunday 24 May, unless sold prior.
