Certus Solutions and Syclo announce Australasian reseller agreement
Auckland, 01 May 2009: Certus Solutions, New Zealand’s largest specialist IBM software and services company, has entered into a partnership agreement with mobile work applications provider Syclo.
Certus General Manager of Enterprise Asset Management, Maarten van der Zeyden, says the reseller arrangement will see Certus promote, implement and support Syclo’s SMART mobile work and asset management solutions throughout Australia and New Zealand.
“This agreement represents an excellent fit for our asset management practice. We have been working with asset-intensive businesses for over 20 years and have watched the demand for mobile workforce solutions soar, as pressure grows to optimise processes and enhance lifecycle performance.”
Van der Zeyden says to be truly effective business processes need to extend out from the office ‘think tank’ and into the field where the work is delivered.
“The key to making good decisions about asset condition and appropriate maintenance activity is accurate and timely information, gathered using efficient, technology enabled processes. This is where Syclo’s solutions provide a unique advantage by extending the reach of an enterprise’s service, work and asset management systems.”
Syclo’s SMART suite of products includes pre-packaged and pre-integrated applications that allow enterprise organisations to remove paper processes and give remote workers the ability to collect data at the point of performance. Syclo integrates with the world’s leading enterprise asset management system, IBM Maximo.
Syclo Vice President, Marc Chesover, says appointing Certus as one of its key partners in the Asia Pacific region ensures the company’s mobile products will be supported by specialists who understand the needs of companies managing extensive information, network and physical infrastructure assets.
“In Certus we have found the perfect partner. They mix deep domain expertise of their target industries with a wide range of technical and application software skills.
“This translates into an organisation we can trust to represent our SMART mobile solutions in an important region for us and to effectively partner with customer organisations to achieve strong business outcomes.”
Certus’ core focus is implementing and supporting asset management solutions using IBM Maximo. The company is the premier distributor and support organisation of IBM Maximo in New Zealand and the Pacific, and is currently expanding the business into Australia.
