Queenstown tourism product to be showcased in Auckland

The Auckland travel trade industry will be well schooled on Queenstown tourism products after taking part in Destination Queenstown’s Travel Trade Showcase this week.

Destination Queenstown and twenty-five Queenstown tourism operators are in Auckland at the Rendezvous Hotel tomorrow (28 April) and Wednesday (29 April) to update and educate key industry people with what Queenstown has to offer as the Southern Hemisphere’s premier lake and alpine destination.

Destination Queenstown CEO Stephen Pahl said this new DQ initiative is an opportunity for the region’s operators to form a united front and engage with industry and trade partners to promote Queenstown.

“This is an innovative way to ensure the Queenstown brand continues to stay front of mind for those in travel trade industry who sell the resort as a tourism destination,” he said.

“We’ve received an impressive number of registrations, including 80 Auckland frontline agents and about 50 product managers who’ll attend the Showcase sessions.

" This will be a fantastic event that gives Queenstown tourism operators an unprecedented opportunity to inform and update the travel industry.”

Destination Queenstown Market Manager Catriona Noonan and Queenstown Convention Bureau Manager Kylie Brittain will join Mr Pahl in leading the Travel Trade Showcase for Destination Queenstown.
