Sentiment Improves
Our monthly BNZ Confidence Survey of Weekly Overview readers taken last Friday has revealed an improvement in expectations for the economy over the coming year to a net 0% optimistic/pessimistic from a net 23% pessimistic in March. This is the strongest result since +27% in September – which came just before the collapse of Lehman Brothers in the United States pushed the world close to the brink of a new Great Depression.
