Exceltium Appoints New Senior Consultant

Auckland-based corporate and public affairs consultancy, Exceltium Ltd, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new senior consultant, Sarah Phillips.

Ms Phillips brings to Exceltium both legal expertise, having provided corporate, commercial, property and dispute-resolution counsel to large New Zealand and offshore investors at Auckland commercial law firm Hornabrook Macdonald; and experience in sports-marketing, media and career-management services for leading New Zealand sportspeople at Global Sports Management.

Ms Phillips is currently completing her Master of Laws degree in competition and climate-change law at the University of Auckland, and has both Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Auckland, the latter including study in international finance and economics, her major, at the University of California at Berkeley.

Exceltium Managing Director Matthew Hooton says the appointment is part of the company's growth strategy following last year's change of government in New Zealand. This includes the appointment of Ed Brownlee in November 2008 to the role of Research and Special Projects. Further appointments are planned.

Exceltium was named in this month's edition of Auckland's Metro magazine as the Auckland lobbying firm that most obviously has the ear of the new National-led Government.
