Coffee lovers rejoice! - New Mocha Hot Cross Bun

Media Release 9 February 2009

Coffee lovers rejoice! - New Mocha Hot Cross Bun for Easter

With nearly 30 years' experience in baking Hot Cross Buns, the innovative Bakers Delight bakers have created yet another new variety that is sure to get your taste buds tingling.

Bakers Delight introduces a delicious coffee-infused Hot Cross Bun to complement its existing range of Hot Cross Bun varieties.

Packed full of chocolate chips and a delicious blend of coffee and mixed spice flavour, the new Bakers Delight Mocha Hot Cross Bun is a great morning - or afternoon treat - to accompany tea or coffee. For added indulgence, try warming them up for a delectable melting chocolate sensation and lightly spread with butter.

Bakers Delight has also brought back its delicious Choc Chip Hot Cross Bun, by popular demand, alongside its traditional Hot Cross Buns for Easter 2009.

The Choc Chip Hot Cross Buns contain over 100 chocolate chips in each bun, while the traditional Hot Cross Buns are packed full of juicy currants, sultanas and mixed spice.

Colleen Milne, Country Manager of Bakers Delight New Zealand, says; "There is now a Hot Cross Bun for everyone at Bakers Delight. The Choc Chip Hot Cross Buns are a huge hit for both kids and adults, who aren't fans of dried fruit, and if chocolate's not your thing, Bakers Delight's delicious traditional variety, packed with juicy currants and sultanas, or our fruitless, spicy blend variety are ideal. For customers wanting an extra caffeine fix or something a little different this Easter, they will certainly like the new mocha variety."
