Queenstown operators join forces in Auckland

Queenstown operators join forces in Auckland

Educating the travel trade that sell Queenstown as a tourism destination is the drive behind a new Destination Queenstown initiative that takes place in Auckland this April.

Destination Queenstown’s Travel Trade Showcase aims to make sure key industry people are up to date with what Queenstown has to offer as Australasia’s premier lake and alpine destination.

Travel trade and industry partners including 150 Auckland frontline agents and 50 Product Managers are expected to take part in the Showcase.

Destination Queenstown invited Queenstown tourism operators to take part in the two-day Showcase (April 28-29). Twenty-five local operators will join Destination Queenstown in Auckland at the Rendezvous Hotel.

Trade Market Manager Catriona Noonan says the Showcase is a first for Destination Queenstown.

“In the current climate we need to be innovative and find new ways of working with the travel trade. We need to drive our brand and make sure it stays front of mind.

“This is a chance for our members, both small and large to form a united front and engage with industry and trade partners to promote Queenstown,” she said.

“This will be a well organised event that gives Queenstown operators an unprecedented opportunity to inform and update industry people about what they offer.”

As a sweetener, frontline participants can be in with a chance to win inspiring spot prizes from the Queenstown operators involved.

Destination Queenstown Trade Market Manager Catriona Noonan and Chief Executive Stephen Pahl will lead the Showcase for Destination Queenstown.
