Contractors’ Federation CEO moving on

Media Release – for immediate release

21 January 2008

Contractors’ Federation CEO moving on

David Jewell, President of the New Zealand Contractors’ Federation, has announced the resignation of Chief Executive Richard Michael after five and half years in the role.

Mr Jewell said Mr Michael has made a significant contribution in that time.

“Over the last five and a half years Richard has raised the profile of the organisation in the media and among all our stakeholders. In particular, he has worked hard to create better links with government.

“One significant achievement was signing up Hirepool as the principal business partner. The relationship with Hirepool is now into its fifth year and continues to build in momentum and strength.

“Richard has also enhanced the Federation’s systems and procedures to improve efficiency and he leaves the organisation in a very strong position.

“We wish him well in his new role in the mining industry with advocacy organisation Straterra.”

Mr Michael will leave his role at the Federation in April.
