Gull Diesel drops below the magical $1.00 level

MEDIA RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Gull Diesel drops below the magical $1.00 level

Auckland, 15 January 2009 – In a blast back to the past, Gull has announced a drop in the price of diesel, bringing the retail price below the magical $1.00 barrier.

This change will become effective at midday today.

Diesel prices are now comparable to those of late May 2007.

With increasing refined petrol costs Gull has unfortunately had to adjust petrol prices upwards, but are still expected to offer the best value petrol to the New Zealand motorist.

Additional savings can be made by purchasing Gulls Regular Plus, a 10% ethanol blend available at the Albany Highway, Kingsland and Rosebank Road service stations.

Graham Stirk, Gull Retail Manager noted that international refined fuel prices are trending upwards at present but there remains an opportunity to pass savings onto the New Zealand motorist wherever possible.

At the majority of Gull outlets where Gull controls retail prices, prices are as follows:

Gull Regular 91 $1.369 With some sites as low as $1.339
Gull Regular Plus (91 octane) $1.359
Gull Force 10 (98 Octane) $1.469 With some sites as low as $1.439
Gull Low Sulphur Diesel $0.999 With some sites as low as $0.969
