Dart River Jet Safaris Ltd - Green Globe Benchmarked

Dart River Jet Safaris has taken another step forward in its commitment to sustainable environmental and community practice with its achievement of the Green Globe Benchmarked Bronze status.

The company, which operates in the spectacular Te Wahipounamu South West New Zealand World Heritage Area, has been measuring and improving performance in terms of energy and water consumption, total waste production and community commitment through an integrated environmental and social policy.

Dart River Jet Safaris Manager Andy Chapman said the company was delighted to have achieved the Benchmarked Bronze status which represented further change and improvement in environmental practices and business efficiency.

“Green Globe is an internationally recognised benchmarking programme and our latest audit and achievement recognises our commitment to operating to the world’s highest environmental standard,” he said.

In particular, Dart River Jet Safaris Ltd achieved Best Practice results in Waste sent to Landfill, Waste Recycling and Community Commitment.

"We recognise that the environment within which we operate is very special and a major draw card for visitors from around the world. Green Globe's performance improvement system supports our business as we work towards sustainability by implementing changes that will make a positive contribution to the future of the planet while also improving our overall business performance.”
