PIERRE CARDIN BRAND TO BUILD ITS MARKET DURING WORLD ECONOMIC WOES
The international master of fashion innovation, Pierre Cardin, who has recently been honoured with a number of awards, has described his long-established brand of ready-to-wear clothing and accessories as well positioned internationally to retain and build sales in coming years. “They are also looking to long established brands such as Pierre Cardin” he added.
He said the current international financial trauma being experienced meant that nervous consumers were looking for value as a key point in their household spending.
“Our upper mid-market pricing coupled with design innovation and traditional quality means that we are well positioned to offer a ‘sweet spot’ in the Australian and New Zealand markets,” Mr Cardin said.
Mr Alexander Pearce, Managing Agent for Pierre Cardin and Mr Cardin’s personal representative in the Australian and New Zealand markets, said that consumers would be well rewarded purchasing Pierre Cardin products given their exceptional quality and design coupled with keen pricing. Australian and New Zealand consumers have long known and trusted the Pierre Cardin label.
“To reflect Mr Cardin’s optimism in a depressed climate he has recently launched in Europe a new women’s ready to wear collection in conjunction with a young Parisian designer which focuses on the contemporary market”, Mr Pearce added.
Pierre Cardin, the 86 year old French Couturier, known for his unisex style and space-age creations was recently made an honorary member of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow on November 27.
Mr Cardin was also recently honored by the Mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, who invited him to sign the Golden Book at Berlin Town Hall also in November.
Following his meeting with Mayor Wowereit, Pierre Cardin presented his Haute Couture collection in Berlin where he posed with models in front of the Brandenburg Gate.
