Company Refuses to Negotiate With Locked Out Drivers
Go Bus drivers will demonstrate against being locked out by the company at the Transport Centre in Hamilton at 3pm this afternoon.
Karl Andersen from the NDU says the company was lying in a press release they put out on Friday that said they were prepared to continue to negotiate over the weekend.
“Go Bus bosses are to refusing to talk with the drivers,” says Mr Andersen.
“They told us they will not talk to us until we totally capitulate and accept the offer on the table.
“The drivers are digging in for a long struggle. We have set up a welfare fund and already have donations coming in.”
The drivers have also set up an action group to coordinate ongoing protests and will demonstrate at the Transport Centre again at 7am tomorrow morning.
