MagnumMac to open flagship store in Newmarket

Get ready to enjoy a whole new personal technology experience with the opening of MagnumMac's new flagship store in Newmarket, Auckland this Friday. The new store, which has its grand opening on 7 November, promises to deliver a technology buying experience unlike anything ever before seen in New Zealand.
Stephen Wright, MagnumMac marketing manager, says that with the Newmarket store the company is striving to create a new level of customer service and set new benchmarks for consumers. Wright says highly trained staff, a purpose-built store and the best range of Apple products and accessories in the country all add up to "the best technology buying experience available."
MagnumMac Newmarket will open its doors to the public at 5:00 pm on Friday 7 November 2008, celebrating with plenty of light-hearted entertainment and lots of free iPod giveaways, culminating with an in-store gig by OpShop from 8-9:00pm
The new Apple Premium Reseller store, located on the corner of Khyber Pass and Broadway, will be the place to go for the latest Apple products and accessories, according to Wright.
"We are going to set the benchmark for the technology buying experience at a whole new level. Apple helped design the store and we were able to incorporate all their latest ideas learned from Apple Premium Reseller stores overseas, as well as build in a few unique ideas of our own" says Wright.
The store features 450sqm of retail space, including a 30-seat training and presentation theatre and a spectacular glass encased entrance atrium. Within the store there are dedicated areas for digital video, audio and digital photography, allowing customers to enjoy a full hands-on experience with a wide range of Apple products and peripherals.
The store's knowledgeable staff is on hand to share their expertise and offer personalised tuition on everything from getting started with a Mac, to building a web site, to creating a podcast or making a digital movie. Visitors will also be able to sit down and enjoy one of the many free training sessions that will be held in the custom-built theatre.
"This Apple Premium Retail store experience will give every customer the chance to test-drive Apple's entire product line including the all-new MacBook and MacBook Pro notebook computers, the world's thinnest notebook — the MacBook Air, plus the entire iPod range, from the widescreen iPod Touch to the smallest, most wearable digital music player, the iPod shuffle," says Wright.
"There is also an extensive range of third-party products for the Mac, iPod, and iPhone, including Bose, Canon, Epson, LaCie, Adobe, Filemaker, Microsoft, Belkin and lots, lots, more."
"We believe that Apple technology is the coolest personal technology on the planet — the shopping experience should reflect that," says Wright.
