PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE USE
FuseIT connects web based software applications to improve business
FuseIT is the new brand for Nelson based technology company PolyMEDIA. For over ten years PolyMEDIA has successfully
delivered Internet-enabled applications connected with large relational databases to corporations of all sizes across
the USA and New Zealand. The new branding reflects the company’s more focused approach, offering solutions that
seamlessly integrate web based software applications with legacy systems running in the office. A new website
www.fuseit.com was launched on Monday 6 October.
“We saw a great opportunity to provide solutions that better connect our clients to their customers,” said FuseIT CEO
Richard Clarke.
“We use state-of-the-art web technology to improve connections between our client's teams and their business processes.”
FuseIT’s current offerings are based on three strategic themes.
“The first of these is better targeted communication with customers through dynamic content-driven websites,” said
Richard. “The website is often the first port of call for customers, it needs to be a fully functioning front door to
your business, encouraging customers to enter.
The second theme is increased productivity of staff using electronic collaboration and document handling systems, to
ensure work is undertaken efficiently and effectively, and staff productivity is fully realised.
Thirdly, FuseIT offers extended use of companies’ IT systems by integrating web based applications to existing
applications and databases, to ensure efficient use of IT capital already invested in the business, and maximise the
return from this investment.
“The benefits of having these three platforms in place underpinning the business soon flows through to the bottom line,”
said Richard.
FuseIT is based in Nelson, with a recently established office in California to service the needs of a growing number of
large clients in the United States.
“We are now working with one of our US clients on integrating print-on-demand software with Salesforce.com, a web based
customer relationship management tool”, explains Richard Clarke. “Companies can now order online customised sales and
marketing printed material such as invitations and brochures. This exciting new software will be launched at DreamForce
2008, the yearly Salesforce.com event held in November in San Francisco.”
FuseIT has a team of highly qualified and capable technology professionals with proven experience in consulting,
solution architecture, software development and integration. The current range of solutions includes Salesforce.com for
customer relationship management, Sitecore for web content management, Microsoft’s SharePoint for collaboration and
document handling and Microsoft SQL Server for transactional data storage and business intelligence.
John van der Burg, Senior Business Consultant with FuseIT, says: “What makes us different from competitors is our
ability to translate web based technology into real business value by growing revenues and improving productivity. Many
New Zealand companies are struggling to achieve their growth plans and to remain financially healthy. We can quickly
identify the tangible benefits of introducing new technology.”
