Bakers Delight is going pink for women with cancer
_
_Kiwis can treat themselves to a pink sticky bun and raise money for a cancer charity at the same time in October – all for just $1.80.
Local Bakers Delight bakeries from around the country are joining forces to sell their popular pink buns – complete with 100s and 1000s – to raise thousands of dollars for the Look Good Feel Better cancer charity during Breast Cancer Awareness month in October.
In a special week-long campaign from 9-15 October, Bakers Delight stores will donate $1 of every pink finger bun sold to Look Good Feel Better. You can also donate money through instore donation tins.
Proceeds from the sale of Bakers Delight pink buns during the campaign will help fund the Look Good Feel Better workshops.
Each year more than 2000 New Zealand women are diagnosed with breast cancer. Look Good Feel Better is a free national service that supports women being treated for all types of cancer and helps them feel better by looking good.
At special makeover workshops throughout New Zealand hair and makeup experts donate their time to give women with cancer guidance on their appearance. The women not only get a brand new look, but learn how to do it themselves at home.
Last year, Bakers Delight raised $10,000 for Look Good Feel Better – and this year they want to raise even more.
Yvonne Brownlie, general manager of Look Good Feel Better, is delighted that this charity is going to be supported again.
“We are thrilled that Bakers Delight has chosen Look Good Feel Better for their annual pink bun week. Thanks to the generous support of Bakers Delight staff and customers, the monies raised will help thousands of New Zealand women feel better at a difficult time in their lives.”
Treat yourself, your family or your office to a special pink bun tea and help raise money for this wonderful cause!
Bakers Delight has 22 Auckland and five Christchurch stores, as well as bakeries in Hamilton, Hastings, Mt Maunganui, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo, and Lower Hutt.
