Rydges Christchurch gains official 4+ mark of quality
Rydges Christchurch has been recognized as one of New Zealand’s leading accommodation providers by achieving a 4 ½ star Qualmark rating – New Zealand’s official accommodation quality mark.
To gain the Qualmark rating, Rydges Christchurch underwent a detailed assessment using criteria made up of over 400 quality checks. The assessment criteria, which have been developed by the tourism industry and based on research into what travelers want; it looks at areas such as cleanliness, comfort, safety, customer service, overall guest facilities, business operations and more. As a result, Rydges Christchurch was awarded a 4 ½ star in the hotel category.
General Manager Quenton Donald, says their Qualmark reinforces the property’s reputation as a superior accommodation and conference venue in New Zealand. ‘’We have invested over $4 million dollars into refurbishing our guest rooms which comprised of new Rydges ‘Dream’ beds and linen package, ergonomic workstations complete with LCD screens and the complete retiling of all bathrooms. The Sepia restaurant and bar has also been redesigned to provide a more modern yet intimate dining experience and with all this completed its great to see the hotel is recognized by the 4 ½ star rating’’ he commented.
