TV3's late night news show Nightline also beats TV One's Tonight show in the 18-49, 18-49 Metro and 18-49 Auckland Urban demographics with 7.3%, 34.9% and a huge 85.7%, respectively.

Mark Jennings, TV3's Director of News and Current Affairs, comments: "It's very pleasing to see the long term trend of leadership in key demographics for 3 News, Campbell Live and Nightline continue through 2008. The strength of our news offering has accelerated even further since the conclusion of the Olympics, and this reveals strong viewer loyalty for our news and current affairs programmes."
