PACIFIC BLUE DROPS DOMESTIC FARES UP TO $10
– NEW ‘GO! Fares’ ON SALE FROM TODAY
Monday 18 August 2008: Pacific Blue today launched its new range of ‘GO! Fares*’ into the New Zealand market, offering seats on selected domestic flights at up to $10 off its already low fares.
Pacific Blue General Manager Commercial, Adrian Hamilton-Manns, said the new reduced fares provide another chance for Kiwis to save even more on domestic air travel.
“When we entered the domestic New Zealand market last year we pledged to do our best to ‘Keep the Air Fair’ and our new ‘GO! Fares’ are a further example of our efforts to ensure as many New Zealanders as possible can pay a visit, not a fortune, to fly around our country".
The airline said that with business and tourism regions feeling the pinch of the softening economy in New Zealand, the lower fares would help to further stimulate domestic tourism and make it more affordable for the business community to travel.
“At a time of volatile fuel prices and negative economic growth, we’ve thought long and hard about doing this. But rather than increase air fares we’ve taken the opposite approach by making even more low fares available and introducing a modest fee for baggage.”
Effective from today Pacific Blue’s new GO! Fares will offer great value on flights between Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
