The New Zealand Landcare Trust was delighted to learn that its new CEO, Dr Nick Edgar, has been awarded the Cawthron

recognition that the role of the Landcare Trust is now seen as an essential and mainstream component of New Zealand’s
“The Landcare concept is all about empowering farming communities to work together, sometimes in partnership with
science providers and even urban groups, to advance the cause of sustainable land management. Nick will have a very
central role to play in that, which makes his timely receipt of this award so significant for the Trust and its central
leadership role in developing environmentally sustainable agriculture”.
