New Zealand businesses have a great opportunity to get in Santa's good books by supporting this year's 75th anniversary Auckland Farmers Santa Parade.

The Farmers Santa Parade has delivered joy to Auckland families every year since 1934 and this year's event will be the biggest, brightest and boldest yet.

The parade attracts more than a quarter of a million spectators while 4,000 take part steering 280 modern and traditional Christmas floats over the 2.2km central city route.

The characters and participants may have changed over the three-quarters of a century since the Parade's inception - but the ethos remains the same. The Farmers Santa Parade is about creating a festive and fun atmosphere for the children of Auckland to celebrate the start of the Christmas season.

"We're looking for businesses and organisations who want to benefit from this spectacular event and all the goodwill that surrounds it," says Farmers Santa Parade organiser Pam Glaser.

"With this being the 75th anniversary year there will be added focus on the event so there's never been a better time to get involved with one of Auckland's most loved community activities."

Whether it's half a million eyes on your brand, or simply the smiling faces of your children or grand children, this truly is an opportunity not to be missed. It is going to be one of the biggest events to ever hit the streets of Auckland.

Businesses can put their name to one of Auckland's most iconic events, and help bring the fantasy of Christmas to life for many kids.

This year's parade is on Sunday 30 November (rain date: Sunday 7 December) and there is a variety of sponsorship packages to suit any sized business or organisation.

"You could enter a float, do product sampling before or after the Parade, host a stall at the after-party, drive a branded fantasy vehicle in the Parade or sponsor a branded character costume," says Ms Glaser.
