Jack’s Point well-positioned for Queenstown growth
Queenstown Lakes District has been ranked first in New Zealand in population and business growth in results just released by Business and Economic Research Limited (BERL).
The area’s popularity both as a place to live and as a place to visit should ensure property there continues to sell well, says the region’s leading property developer.
John Darby, the man behind the multi-billion dollar resort settlement at Jack’s Point, says while the property market nationally has slowed, Queenstown is poised for continued growth.
The Jack’s Point settlement, Queenstown’s foremost growth zone eclipses in size, scale and quality any other residential building project undertaken in this country. Some 1300 homes, 600 visitor apartments, and a 150-room luxury hotel are being built in the settlement which includes an 18-hole par 72 championship golf course, together with all the necessary infrastructure to service what will become Queenstown’s new visitor and residential hub.
