Conference venue marks measure of success First National Real Estate to hold 22nd Annual Conference in Tauranga

Over 250 leading realtors will be converging on Tauranga this week to upskill in methods and motivation as First National New Zealand holds its 22nd Annual Conference.

First National General Manager John Stewart said holding the two-day conference in Tauranga for the first time was a return to the network’s roots.

“Our first office was here in Tauranga, and our national headquarters remain on Durham Street in the city. Now, 22 years later, we have almost 100 offices throughout the country. First National’s strength started in the regions and that has only grown stronger as we have become one of the major real estate networks in the country.”

Themed ‘Success’, the conference at the Sebel Hotel features key speakers who have scaled significant personal peaks in different areas of life – motivational potential trainer Pat Mesiti (Australia), international corporate speaker and personality profile expert Alison Mooney, global real estate coach Grant Thorpe and mountaineer Mark Inglis.

First National members will also participate in workshops led by top real estate performers on topics including legal issues around property management, auction training, improving digital photography and maintaining success in a changing market.

“The speakers and workshop sessions are reflective of our agents’ desire to differentiate themselves from other organisations, and of our passion for Best Practice and professional service to clients,” Mr Stewart said.

First National is presently attracting new members through its innovations, member and agent training and support structures along with the benefits offered by the co-operative structure.

“ A major innovation has been the association with BOP Polytech as our staff development partner, tying all our training and development programmes to the recently-incepted NZQA courses. To deliver our clients the best support and to ensure they realise their dreams, our network has to have the most skilled, professional and knowledgable staff in the industry: he added.

“First National’s success will be its ability to read the current marketplace and build on its professionalism going into the future. This conference we have record support from our business partners associated with the industry so our members will get a look at the latest real estate e-tools, marketing tools and information systems to future-proof our offices.”

The conference runs Thursday May 8 – Friday May 9 and is preceded by First National’s AGM on Wednesday May 7.
