Hirepool Appoints New Manager

Auckland, 14 April 2008: New Zealand hire equipment leader, Hirepool, has appointed Dereck de Thierry to the position of Auckland City Branch Manager.
Previously Branch Manager at Hirepool Rotorua, de Thierry has a wealth of experience having spent 12 years in the hire industry. He previously worked under Rakino CEO Tenby Powell at Projex, then Hirequip, before joining Hirepool in 2004.

Starting as assistant manager at Rotorua, de Thierry helped get the new branch up and running, later moving to Mt Maunganui as Branch Manager where he played a central role in setting up a Port-A-Loo division in the Bay of Plenty. He then returned to Rotorua to take the position of Branch Manager.

De Thierry says he is looking forward to his Auckland branch role, gaining new business for Hirepool and protecting the relationships with existing clients. “I’m also excited about getting our new mobile urban depot, ‘Reloader,’ out to building sites around the city,” he says.

Hirepool Managing Director, Tenby Powell, is confident de Thierry will play a significant role in the growth of the organisation and its commitment to create and maintain sustainable partnerships with customers, suppliers and staff. “Dereck’s extensive experience and knowledge of the equipment rental industry will be of great value in his new position,” he says.
