International award for New Zealand Hyundai dealer

A prestigious award has gone to Auckland’s largest Hyundai dealer.

Winger Hyundai, located in Greenlane, in Auckland, has taken a Sales Achievement award, bestowed by the South Korean car maker.

The title was announced at the recent Asia/ Pacific Distributor and Dealer Conference in Phuket, Thailand.

Winger Hyundai dealer principal Grant Vincent received the award from Hyundai’s Asia Pacific president, Mr. Robert Seo.

This continues a run of success for Hyundai’s New Zealand distributor and its franchises.

Hyundai Motors new Zealand Limited won a Global Excellence Award late last year. Cockram Hyundai of Christchurch was bestowed the Dealer of the Year title at the previous conference, in the Philippines in 2006.

“The awards reflect the tremendous progress the Hyundai brand has made in the New Zealand over the past few years and the respect that Hyundai Motor Company has for the operations in New Zealand”, said Philip Eustace, Executive Director of Hyundai Motors New Zealand.

“Wingers fully deserves this award,” he added.

“As well as setting a new sales record, they also opened a new premises last year. It was great to have Grant at the conference to receive the awards and accolades from his peers.”

Winger Hyundai sold 760 new Hyundai vehicles last year and has already sold 209 new Hyundai vehicles in the first quarter this year.

“They are having tremendous enquiry and customer feedback on the recently released i30 hatch and H-1 van,” Mr. Eustace said.

“With the amount of positive reviews and rave around Hyundai’s new products this year it makes for an exciting and promising year ahead for Wingers and the Hyundai dealer network in New Zealand.”
