Monteith’s New Zealand Lager wins another international award
The new Monteith’s Lager pulled two more international accolades at the Australian International Beer Awardsin Melbourne last week (March 27).
It wonsilver in the European style lager category and silver in the packaging section.
The Australian International Beer Awardsis the largest of its kind in Australia and the second largest brewing event in the world.
With more than 1000 entries from 217 breweries across 42 countriesin the competition, Monteith’s marketerMalcolm Everts is proud of the accolades.
“Monteith’s New Zealand Lager has been a huge success. Last year it was judged number one in the ‘‘4.3%-5.5% Lager category” at the International Beer Awards in the UK. Those judges also named the bottle ‘most stylish in the competition’.
“It sold its 7-month forecast in the first month of launch in the New Zealand market, outselling our previous ‘personal best’ benchmark of Monteith’s Radler by more than 2 to 1,” says Everts.
Monteith’s New Zealand Lager is naturally brewed without additives or preservatives,then cold filtered to deliver aclean, crisp taste. It’s all New Zealand ingredients (water, barley & hops) and even the bottle is made here.
