NZBio welcomes new CEO

Published: Fri 14 Mar 2008 09:45 AM
New Zealand’s biotech industry body is pleased to announce the appointment of Bronwyn Dilley to the position of Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Ms Dilley has over 10 years experience in strategic marketing and management for start-ups and developing SME’s across a broad range of industries, and has spent the past five years working in the Australian biotech sector.
Previous roles include senior Marketing and Business Development positions at Neurosciences Victoria, the National Neuroscience Facility and Grey Innovation in Melbourne.
“We welcome Ms Dilley to the position of CEO and believe her experience in the Australasian biotech industry will prove to be a great asset for the next phase of NZBio’s growth and to help foster the further development of New Zealand’s biotech sector,” NZBio Chairman Jim McLean says.
“NZBio has come a long way in four years under the stewardship of the first CEO Brian Ward; the formation of a single and strong industry body is something other sectors have struggled to accomplish.
“Ms Dilley was selected from a strong list of applicants and impressed the NZBio Board with her energy and freshness, demonstrated optimistic but realistic appreciation of the achievements possible for NZBio, and appeared to us as a very good candidate to build on the successes established during Brian’s time.”
“I am looking forward to the challenge of representing NZBio’s vibrant and diverse membership and to building on the strong foundation built by Brian Ward and the NZBio team,” Ms Dilley says.
