Harcourts MD appointed inaugural chairman of top board

5 March 2008:  Harcourts International’s Managing Director Mike Green has been appointed Inaugural Chairman of the International Advisory Board for Leading Real Estate Companies of the World™, a global real estate network comprised of nearly 700 of the best-known international real estate firms. 

This month the United States-based group formed the new International Advisory Board which is comprised of non-U.S. members committed to expanding the value proposition of the company’s international membership programmes. 

Already the largest real estate group in New Zealand and the fastest growing in Australia, Harcourts joined Leading Real Estate Companies of the World™ as the exclusive South Pacific member in 2003 in order to provide international marketing exposure for Harcourts’ clients’ properties.

“With more people buying real estate outside of their native countries it has become increasingly important for real estate professionals to understand global trends, as well as commonalities and differences in markets worldwide,” Mr Green says.

“In response this advisory board will help foster that understanding and build international connections and business opportunities.”
