RCSA to launch recruitment courses in India
The RCSA (Recruitment and Consulting Services Association) will expand beyond Australia and New Zealand by offering its Certificate in Customer Management – a sub set of the Certificate IV in Business (Employment Services) to education providers in India, it was announced today.
The modules - Develop Business Strategies to Expand Client Base; Develop Strategies to Source and Assess Candidates; Develop Employment Management Services to Candidates and Manage the Recruitment Process for Client Organisations are seen as the fundamentals in the recruitment process and, with RCSA’s Competency Based Behavioural Interviewing module – is a strong platform for the training institutions in India to begin to address the professionals standards that RCSA is now embedding in the industry in Australia and New Zealand.
In partnership with Adelaide-based company, Shepard International, the RCSA will make these popular courses available to Indian education providers through a licensing agreement.
“The RCSA has made significant progress in raising standards and professionalism in the Australian and New Zealand recruitment industry, due in large part to the quality of training and education we provide. We believe the modules we are offering from the Certificate IV in Business (Employment Services) will be positively received in India, as they have been here,” CEO of the RCSA Ms Julie Mills said.
The RCSA’s modules will be offered mainly through Human Resources education streams, but also have the ability to be offered as a stand-alone course. With many education providers already expressing interest in the RCSA’s programs Ms Mills says there is great potential for this to become a strong business arm of the Association but also a chance to demonstrate the quality of the training programs the Association offers to the international market.
“There is very little in the way of dedicated recruitment education in India, despite a large and buoyant recruitment industry; the RCSA’s modules will certainly help to fill that gap.
“The content actually translates to an Indian context very well, so the courses can be offered immediately. The RCSA and our partners in India are confident that quality education will help to create a more professional industry that benefits recruiters, their candidates and their clients,” Ms Mills said.
The RCSA’s move offshore, says Ms Mills, is the result of an increasingly global outlook for the recruitment industry. This also expands the Accredited Professional program and The Recruitment Journal to an international market.
“We already have a highly mobile, globally-focused recruitment industry, in terms of both our recruitment professionals and the candidates they source. The RCSA has been very successful in its industry-driven approach to quality education, so it makes sense to export this success into other Asia-Pacific markets,” Ms Mills said.
