Robert Half launches IT division

Employers and job seekers in the highly competitive IT sector have a new recruitment option, with global specialist recruitment firm Robert Half opening a technology division in Auckland.

Robert Half Technology joins the successful financial recruitment division, Robert Half Finance & Accounting, which has been operating in New Zealand for seven years.

It is headed by division director and IT recruitment specialist Steve McGowan.

McGowan said he was excited by the opportunities the new division gave local candidates and employers to really tap into the global market.

"Robert Half Technology has offices in more than 100 locations across the world," he said. "That gives us unprecedented exposure to talent in a sector that experiences constant skills shortages.

"Not only are we able to draw on the resources and experience of our worldwide network, but Robert Half has staff based in the UK and Australia who work solely with Kiwis returning home or migrants looking for a job in New Zealand. Our talent pool is not limited solely to those already in this country but extends around the globe."

Robert Half Technology specialises in IT jobs ranging from consultant right up to chief information officer, with particular emphasis on all software development roles.

McGowan said the division was already operational and would establish its own technology recruitment website in the near future.
