Radiola Aerospace Flys Into Australia

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA) has awarded Radiola Aerospace Limited of Porirua a three year contract for the flight validation of instrument approach procedures at more than 290 airfields throughout Australia and its offshore territories.

CASA awarded the contract to Radiola Aerospace based on the quality of its tender response, its international experience in flight inspection and validation services, and the value for money offered, said Radiola’s Managing Director, Brent Albiston.

The Company has establish a branch in Canberra and three of its Porirua based senior operational staff will be involved in the project.

The contract, comprising more than 400 flying hours per annum, will require extensive flight and logistics planning, recognizing the very challenging Australian environment including extreme weather conditions and long transits, said Brent Albiston.

Radiola Aerospace will partner with Canberra based aircraft operator, Corporate Air which will supply one of its seven Cessna 441 Conquest aircraft and three senior pilots for the operation.

Radiola Aerospace has delivered flight inspection and validation services in more than 20 countries in the last two years and supplied and operates the real-time passenger information system for Environment Waikato’s Hamilton bus network.

The Company won the Export New Zealand Emerging Exporter of the Year Award in 2006.
