Fantastic Result from Air NZ Charity Auction

Fantastic Result from Air New Zealand Kids @ Christmas Charity Auction

More than $420,000 was raised for three childrens’ charities by this year’s Air New Zealand Kids @ Christmas Charity Auction. This is $150,000 more than was raised by the same auction last year.

“This is an overwhelming result which demonstrates the generosity of New Zealanders,“ Rob Fyfe, Chief Executive Officer of Air New Zealand said today.

The three charities receiving income from the auction are Starship Foundation, StarJam and Make a Wish Foundation.

Items in the auction ranged from two months unlimited Business Premier travel, holidays in various parts of the world and special items such as dinner at Peter Gordon’s Providore restaurant in London and lunch with Lucy Lawless in Los Angeles.

The online auction was held on the sellmefree trading site which experienced a huge increase in the number of visits to the site over the ten days of the auction.

The three charities will be presented with their cheques at a special ceremony in the New Year.
