Dairy Awards Final Entry Cut Off Extended
Farm managers and sharemilkers now have until January 10 to complete the formalities of their entry in the 2008 Dairy Industry Awards.
National convenor Chris Keeping says a number of regional convenors have been contacted by farm managers and sharemilkers keen to be part of the awards programme but because one of the requirements of entry is signed permission from their farm owner, they are concerned they will be unable to met to December 20 deadline.
“We understand that in some cases getting the physical signature may be a problem with people moving around so much. We’re asking farm managers and sharemilkers to indicate their intention to enter and we can sign off the paperwork in the New Year,” Ms Keeping says.
“They have everything to gain and nothing to lose.”
The awards are supported by Westpac, Dairy NZ, Fonterra, RD1, LIC, Meridian Energy, Ravensdown, Ecolab, Federated Farmers, and Blue Wing Honda, along with industry partner Agriculture ITO.
