Tv Stars Go Head To Head In The Venus Breeze Volleyball Challenge
New Zealand celebrities Amber Peebles, Brooke Howard-Smith and Pulp Sport stars Bill and Ben will hit the sand in downtown Auckland on Saturday December 8, and display their sporting prowess in an exhibition match where beauty takes on brawn.
The celeb ‘couples’ will compete in a beach volleyball duel at Te Wero Island, Viaduct Harbour, at 12:30pm as part of the Venus Breeze Volleyball Challenge.
Bill and Ben are particularly confident about the match-up saying, “When it comes down to it, it’s us against two girls. We’re starting to see the effects of our intensive training regime, and we’re planning on using our Venus Breeze before the match to ensure friction doesn’t let us down on the day,” says Ben.
The girls beach volleyball tournament has been organised by Gillette to mark the launch of its newest shave system, Venus Breeze. MCed by TV personality Carolyn Taylor, the inaugural tournament is expected to attract hundreds of spectators and participants to the Viaduct Harbour.
Girls are encouraged to enter as a team of 6-10 players or as individuals. Free singlets, Gillette goodie bags, food stalls and a shaving tent where hot Gillette lads will shave your legs may be temptation enough, but the winning team on the day will also win $5000 prize money.
The Venus Breeze is Gillette’s latest and easiest shave to date. It’s the only 2-in-1 razor with built-in Shave Gel Bars. No need for separate shave cream or soap, simply wetting the razor activates the Shave Gel Bars for a light lather and smooth glide. The fresh tropical scent means Venus Breeze is a ‘must have’ for Kiwi women hitting the beach this summer.
