Rabobank appoints new board director


Rabobank Australia & New Zealand appoints new board director

Rabobank Australia & New Zealand has announced the appointment of Rob ten Heggeler to its board of directors.

Mr ten Heggeler, who is a member of Rabobank International’s managing board, has joined the boards of the bank’s major Australasian operating entities, Rabobank Australia Limited , Rabo Australia Limited and Rabobank New Zealand Limited.

Based in Rabobank’s head office in Utrecht, in the Netherlands, Mr ten Heggeler has close to 20 years experiencing in international banking, working in Europe, Asia and North America.

Announcing the appointment, Rabobank Australia & New Zealand Chairman James Graham said Rob ten Heggeler’s international banking experiencing, in both the corporate and retail markets, was an asset to the Australia and New Zealand board.

“Rob ten Heggeler’s appointment will also reinforce the strong links between Rabobank International’s strategy and the activities of the bank in the important and growing Australasian region,” he said.

The world’s leading food and agribusiness bank, Rabobank is one of Australasia’s largest rural lenders and a significant provider of corporate and business banking services to the region’s food and agribusiness sectors.

Prior to joining Rabobank International in 2006, Mr ten Heggeler held senior roles with Fortis Bank and ABN AMRO.

He joins Rabobank Australia & New Zealand’s locally-based board directors – James Graham (Chairman), Bill Gurry, Erich Fraunschiel, John Palmer, David Smithers, Bruce Dick (Rabobank Australia & New Zealand CEO) and Ruurd Weulen Kranenburg (Rabobank Australia & New Zealand Deputy CEO) – and Netherland-based Hans ten Cate, who is Chairman of Rabobank International.
