AdvanceRetail helps customers help themselves with launch of AdvanceKiosk
28 November 2007 – Leading retail software provider AdvanceRetail Technology has launched AdvanceKiosk, a suite of applications designed to enhance the customer’s in-store experience via interactive self-service kiosks.
Developed in partnership with interactive agency Phosphor Essence, AdvanceKiosk enables retailers to create customer-facing kiosks that can be easily branded to suit the store environment. The kiosk provides users with a wealth of functions, such as the ability to check product details, price and availability, as well as place orders and interact with customer loyalty and gift card schemes.
AdvanceRetail CEO Mark McGeachen says, “Kiosks make a great addition to the retail environment, by enriching the customer’s in-store experience. But to be effective, they must be intuitive and easily navigable and these are core strengths of AdvanceKiosk. We can custom-build an interface to best suit a store’s requirements from a range of tools, without having to compromise the kiosk’s user-friendliness.”
Behind the customer-facing interface lies AdvanceRetail’s industry leading POS system, which allows the kiosk to link up with the wider store network.
Mr McGeachen says, “We’ve also designed AdvanceKiosk to make it compatible with a number of different hardware options, which makes it an extremely versatile product and gives you a lot of flexibility in terms of how the kiosk is deployed.”
